• Average speed is a scalar quantity that describes distance traveled divided by the time during which the motion occurs.• Velocity is a vector quantity that describes the speed and direction of an object.• Average velocity is displacement over the time period during which the displacement occurs. If the velocity is constant, then average velocity and instantaneous velocity are the same.

・平均の速さは、進んだ道のりをその運動にかかった時間で割ったものを表すスカラー量である。・速度は、物体の速さと向きを表すベクトル量である。・平均速度は、変位をその変位が起きた時間で割ったものである。速度が一定なら、平均速度と瞬間速度は同じである。
